Booking an Appointment

Please telephone 020 8363 4156 for all appointments.

Routine Appointments

10 minutes for one patient. Please do not make the doctor run late by asking for another family member to be seen in addition, as this is not fair to others who have booked later appointments. Appointments can be booked with a doctor of your choice up to two weeks in advance.

Nursing Appointments

You can make an appointment to see a nurse for procedures such as dressing/stitch removal, baby immunisations, annual diabetes and asthma checks, smear tests and more. These appointments can be booked up to four weeks in advance.

Emergency Appointments

We reserve some appointments for patients with a serious illness, who must be seen on the same day. These are for urgent/emergency problems only, not for requesting results or prescriptions. These appointments will not necessarily be with the doctor of your choice. Please telephone as soon as possible after 8.00 for a morning appointment or after 14.00 for an afternoon appointment as availability is limited.

Your emergency appointment may be with a triage nurse. The triage nurse can prescribe and will liaise with the duty doctor when necessary.

Home Visits

Home visits are ONLY for patients who are too ill to attend surgery or are totally housebound. Please request a visit by telephoning 020 8363 4156 between 8.00 and 11.00. Please note that lack of transport is not sufficient reason for the doctor to be called out. Children should usually be brought to the surgery, in accordance with current national guidelines. Urgent requests after 11.00 will be referred to the duty doctor for assessment.

Which Doctor?

Patients are able to consult with any doctor in the practice, subject to availability. Please note however that urgent appointments requested for the same day will be made with the designated duty doctors.

Making A Booking

When making appointments, please remember that the appointments line (given above) is less busy after 10.00am. Please tell the receptionist if you need your consultation to take place in a room without access via stairs.

Cancellations – IMPORTANT

Please give as much notice as possible when cancelling appointments. Demand is high and a cancelled appointment can be offered to another patient.

Sometimes problems take longer to sort out than expected or doctors are called out to an emergency. We will try to keep you informed if delays to your appointment time occur. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as delays are stressful for all concerned.

Interpreting Services

Telephone interpreting can be arranged in advance for a range of languages. If you require an interpreter, please let the receptionist know at the time of booking the appointment.
